Alex & Brandon | Pine Mountain Georgia | Couples Photography
A few months back I hosted a session giveaway for all of the amazing people that signed up to be a part of my email newsletter. Miss Alex had her name drawn and won a session for her and her beau, Brandon! Originally I had planned for the session to be an intimate, at home couples session to really showcase the love between two people but with crazy schedules, a serious lack of homes to shoot (thanks Airbnb, step your game up in Columbus please) we decided to go with a sunset session in FDR State park. Sometime in November I had been to this particular trail and I knew I needed to also shoot there during the springtime, what better time than the present! I met up with the lovebirds at a Shell gas station in the outskirts of Columbus because my GPS kept bringing me to the wrong address and we were running out of daylight. I followed them for close to an hour up into Pine Mountain and down into Dowdell’s Knob, we then had to be quick and intentional with our shots and poses. I busted out a recently acquired set of cards that were actually incredibly fun to work with and helped with those ‘lulls’ you get during a photo session where everyone is thinking of what to do next. I admit I can be an awkward person, and sometimes my mind is a million miles per hour and the next it’s crickets so it was nice for everyone to have a little backup plan.
Alex and Brandon were an absolute breeze to work with, they showed up dressed in perfectly coordinated casual outfits that really made their personalities shine. Although not engaged or planning a wedding, they are now celebrating their two year anniversary and a session with me was icing on the cake! Congratulations on two years together, cheers to many more!
