Madison - Beauty Portrait
It’s no secret I’m a photographer of women or that I have been focusing mainly on Boudoir over the last two years. But I am finding a lot of freedom & enjoyment in photographing simple, yet beautiful portraits of women just as they are. For me, shooting Boudoir is easy- we set the ‘scene’ and let it play out. Portraits on the other hand, there’s no diffusion between the camera and the client. You’re RIGHT there up in their face so it takes a lot more posing and micro-adjusting to get things just so. It’s been a challenge, and if you know me at all you know that’s just another mountain I’m quietly climbing.
So when my cousin came out to visit last month NATURALLY I forced her in front of my camera. She’s close to ten years my junior but I’ve never felt any gaps in our conversations or lives. Since she’s been an adult I’ve seen her relentlessly go after her passions, work at one point two jobs and be a college student full time pursuing an art degree. Every powerhouse of a woman; age be damned, needs to be photographed.
